In the bids, New Generation Power represents a consortium of eight companies including New Generation Power Michigan, the Patriot Solar Group (Albion, Michigan, U.S.), Martifer Solar USA Inc. (Los Angeles, California, U.S.) and Wanxiang America Corporation (Elgin, Illinois, U.S.). "We are excited to have such an extraordinary team," said New Generation Power President Dr. Chirinjeev Kathuria. "Our team recognizes the initiative launched by DTE Energy and Detroit Edison to expand the renewable energy space in Michigan, and we will provide cutting-edge, world-class photovoltaic solar power and wind generation systems to Detroit Edison and their customers." Patriot Solar, Martifer Solar to provide EPC services In addition to the 100MW of PV projects, New Generation Power has also bid on 100MW of wind projects. New Generation states that the projects are all located in or near Albion, Michigan, and that 500 jobs will be either created or saved in the Albion area as a result of the projects. Patriot Solar Group will supply the solar trackers and mounts and provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for the projects. Martifer Solar will also provide EPC services. The other members of the New Generation Power Michigan team are Windemuller Electric Inc. (Traverse City, Michigan, U.S.), Starr Commonwealth (Albion, Michigan, U.S.), Solar Street Lights USA LLC (Holland, Michigan, U.S.) and Anderson Environmental & Engineering Company (Rockford, Illinois, U.S.).
